We had a great chat with British Zanzibari artist Lubaina Himid at Hollybush Gardens in London.

Our understanding of what Lubaina does completely changed over the course of an hour. And now we’re even bigger fans than we already were.

For us, Lubaina’s displaced culture and in-between space she navigates being a British woman who makes work, but also a Zanzibari woman who makes work, resonates deeply.
